April 16, 2015 - Regular Meeting Agenda Item #41 Item Title D-3 Public Hearing to receive public comment and to approve as advertised the adoption of 6-12 Career Technical Education/Agriculture instructional materials Issue/Rationale Florida State Statute F.S. 1006.283 requires that the School Board must hold a public meeting as advertised on March 26, 2015 to receive public comment and approve instructional materials considered for adoption. Students must be provided with a major tool of instruction in core courses. Such purchase must be made within the first three (3) years after the effective date of the adoption cycle. New textbooks are correlated to new Florida State Standards. Recommended Action Following public comment, approve the instructional materials adoption of 6-12 Career Technical Education/Agriculture textbooks.
